Renesas Technology America recently announced the H8S/2472F, a new member of the H8S series that is the company's first 16-bit microcontroller incorporating an Ethernet controller.
The 34-MHz device with built-in flash memory is optimized for use in low-end servers, communications equipment and building automation systems.
Besides the Ethernet controller, it offers a comprehensive set of peripheral functions, including a USB peripheral function (with full-speed support), and LPC (low pin count) bus.
