Chi Mei is slated to launch its 22-inch RGB LED-based monitor in the third quarter, according to Ben Chen, vice president at Nexgen Mediatech, which operates the own-brand display businesses of the Chi Mei group.
The company has not determined prices for the LED-based monitor but is indicating that quotes will be 50% higher than cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) versions, Chen pointed out.
