Sanyo recently introduced the Xacti HD1000, which records video in full high-definition (HD) (1920x1080 pixels) and also takes 4-megapixel digital still images.
The HD1000 utilizes the advanced MPEG-4 AVC/H.246 video format and features a 10x optical HD lens and a large 2.7-inch widescreen display.
The camcorder weighs only 9.5 ounces and has a total volume of only 16.6 cubic inches.
The SANYO Xacti HD1000 will be available in the US in September 2007, and has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of US$799.99.
