Samsung has launched a new series of widescreen LCD HDTVs, the Series 8 (850/860). The new Series 8 TVs will be available in September in size of 46-inch (LN46A850, US$2,699), and 52-inch (LN52A850, US$3,399).
The Series 8 features a slim and narrow frame with a depth of 1.9-inch at its widest, full HD 1080p pictures with up to 50,000:1 contrast ratio, 4ms response time, Auto Motion Plus 120Hz and Ultra Clear Panel technology. The series 8 is rated with EngergyStar for its energy saving mode and less power consumption.
