Panasonic's portable Blu-ray Disc player, the DMP-B15, comes with an 8.9-inch wide SVGA screen for viewing much higher image quality than standard definition portable DVD players, according to the company.
It can play AVCHD and MPEG2 images recorded with a camcorder, and DivX content downloaded from the Internet, by using SD Memory Cards, DVDs, or CDs, the vendor said.
The DMP-B15 provides 1080/24p output. It reproduces movie images from a Blu-ray Disc in their original 24p form, with no need for conversion, it added.
The device sells for US$799.95.
