Installed 300mm wafer capacity to rise through 2017, says IC Insights

In terms of surface area shipped, 300mm wafers represented 56% of worldwide installed capacity in December 2012. Production using 300mm wafers is forecast to increase steadily and reach 70.4% in 2017, IC Insights said in a new report.
