Strong earthquake hits eastern Taiwan, impacts on the industry remains to be observed

According to the Central Weather Administration of Taiwan, a seismic event struck the eastern waters of Taiwan near Hualien at approximately 07:58:09 AM local time on April 3, 2024. The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.2 on the Richter scale with a depth of 15.5 kilometers. The earthquake's impact on manufacturers, particularly in the chip supply chain, remains to be seen.
