Pegatron posted NT$105.322 billion (approx. US$3.2 billion) in monthly revenue for January 2025, marking a monthly increase of 2.8%, according to the company's latest financial report issued on February 10. Market analysts attribute this growth primarily to increased shipments in the company's consumer electronic business. However, January revenue was down by 3.7% year-over-year, due to a drop in the communication business, and the ongoing transition of the company's product portfolio.

These results fall in line with prior assessments from Pegatron's management team, who noted that short-term profitability will be challenging as the company prepares to transition to new business sectors in the past two years. These efforts are expected to contribute to profitability beginning in 2025, in particular with many new products in the consumer electronics pipeline scheduled for launch this year.

Notebook shipments in January reached 610,000 units, marking a month-over-month drop of 18.66% but a 16.19% year-over-year increase. For its upcoming products, Pegatron's ongoing five-year plan will include AI servers, AR devices, and the recently popular robotics segment.

Furthermore, Pegatron expects its multi-year layout in 5G O-RAN technology to bear fruit in 2025, with the company scheduled to showcase its progress at next month's MWC 2025. In addition, updates to its 5G business in Indonesia are also expected in the near future.
