China market: China Unicom to offer quad-core smartphones at CNY1,000

China Unicom, the only WCDMA mobile telecom carrier in China, will offer smartphones equipped with 5-inch screens and quad-core processors for sale at CNY1,000 (US$161) in a bid to promote its 3G business in 2013.
