HTC and mobile telecom carrier Taiwan Mobile (TWM) on July 23 jointly unveiled the HTC Desire 500, an Android 4.2.2 smartphone, for launch in the Taiwan market on August 1 at a contract-free retail price of NT$11,900 (US$397), according to TWM.
