Taiwan-based Faraday Technology, a fabless ASIC service and silicon IP provider partnering mainly with United Microelectronics (UMC), saw its monthly revenue exceed NT$1 billion (US$35.9 million) for the first time in January 2022.

Faraday's January revenue achieved increases of 12.6% on month and over 100% from a year earlier, and set a record high for the third consecutive month.

Faraday had previously disclosed it received the ISO 26262 ASIL-D Ready certification from SGS-TÜV for its memory compilers, including SRAM and ROM, on UMC's 55eFlash node.

Faraday already has its complete imaging and display high-speed interface IP set available on UMC's 40LP and 28HPC/HPC+ process nodes. Faraday's 16G Programmable SerDes solutions support multiple protocols of high-speed interfaces available on UMC 28nm HPC+ process.

Samsung is another foundry partner of Faraday. The IC design service company announced in November 2021 the availability of its silicon-proven MIPI D-PHY IP on Samsung Foundry's 14LPC process technology to support high-performance display and camera applications including image signal processors, ultra HD displays, projectors, pico-projectors, AR/VR/MR, wearables, 3D sensors, cameras, surveillance systems, and POS systems. Earlier in the year, Faraday announced its LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X combo PHY IP became available on Samsung's 14nm LPC process.
