Network IC specialist Realtek Semiconductor saw its March revenue climb 14.8% sequentially to a record high of NT$10.45 billion (US$359.4 million). Revenue for the first quarter of 2022 came to NT$29.76 billion, also a historic high.
Realtek's revenue for first-quarter 2022 represented increases of 8.7% on quarter and 27.5% on year.
Realtek said previously the chipmaker is guardedly optimistic about its business prospects, citing the still-uneven chip availabilities and volatile pandemic conditions. The company ended 2021 with record revenue of NT$105.50 billion.
Market watchers expect Realtek to post a more than 10% revenue surge in 2022, when sales of its Ethernet chips, switch controllers, PC audio chips and Bluetooth solutions will all rise simultaneously.
