MediaTek expects 8-13% sales growth in 1Q09

MediaTek has revised its first-quarter guidance to a sequential increase of 8-13% for its consolidated sales, compared to its previous forecast of a 8-16% decline, thanks to better-than-expected handset demand in emerging markets .
