Japan-based makers developing 6-inch ultra-thin panels, say Taiwan makers

Japan-based makers, mainly Sharp and Panasonic, have been developing 6-inch ultra-thin high-end panels for use in large-screen smartphones expected to be launched at the end of third-quarter 2013, according to Taiwan-based component makers.
