Uni-President Group, a major Taiwanese conglomerate, has made significant moves to strengthen its foothold in the e-commerce space, announcing recent acquisitions of Yahoo Taiwan's e-commerce business and a 30% stake in PChome Online, Taiwan's largest online retailer. This strategic investment also grants Uni-President two seats on PChome's board, aligning with the company's broader business expansion goals.

On March 26, Uni-President revealed that Yahoo Taiwan's e-commerce team has devised four key growth strategies to fuel the next phase of digital commerce development. The announcement follows nearly six months of collaboration between Uni-President and Yahoo Taiwan's e-commerce division.

At a recent all-hands meeting for Yahoo Taiwan's e-commerce team, Executive Vice President, President, and Chairman of Uni-President Chih-Hsien Lo shared his vision for the future of digital transformation in Taiwan's economy. Under his leadership, the Yahoo Taiwan e-commerce team is entering a new growth phase, with a comprehensive upgrade plan slated for 2025. This plan will focus on four strategic areas: enhancing operational efficiency, accelerating AI innovation, deepening cross-industry collaboration, and promoting green e-commerce initiatives.

Uni-President aims to drive long-term sustainability and operational growth for Yahoo Taiwan's e-commerce platform by introducing innovative solutions and customer-centric business practices. The company believes that these changes will enhance the overall shopping experience for consumers, contributing to Yahoo Taiwan's evolution in the highly competitive e-commerce landscape.
