UMC to build 12-inch fab in Xiamen, keep 28/14nm production in Taiwan

Having reached an agreement to invest in a 12-inch fab in Xiamen, China recently, United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) has insisted that it will keep its advanced manufacturing processes, mainly 28/14nm processes, in Taiwan.
