Samsung Display (SDC) is set to introduce its latest 18.1-inch foldable OLED panel at the upcoming Las Vegas-based CES 2025 on January 7, 2025. The innovative display can be folded to a portable 13.1 inches or expanded to its full 18.1-inch size, effectively functioning like two tablets, according to ET News and The Elec.

The versatile panel supports touch input capabilities and can seamlessly transition between tablet and notebook modes, while also connecting to peripherals for monitor functionality. This development follows SDC's unveiling of a 17.3-inch version in 2022, as the company capitalizes on the expanding market for large-format foldable devices beyond smartphones.

SDC's CES 2025 showcase will feature additional innovations, including the Slidable Flex Duet, which transforms from 8.1 inches to 12.4 inches, and the Slidable Flex Solo, expanding from 13 inches to 17.3 inches. The company will also present the Slidable Flex Vertical, which extends from 5.1 inches to 6.7 inches. In the automotive sector, SDC will introduce the industry's first Under Panel Camera (UPC) for vehicles and an 18.1-inch curved Center Information Display (CID), designed to enhance the autonomous driving experience.
